Scouts

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.

Sailing, climbing, sub aqua, canoeing, orienteering, expeditions, woodland skills, local heritage, cooking (indoor and backwoods), and international issues are just some of the things they get up to.

Our older sea scouts (year 9) are able to complete Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award due to our close relationship with the Village Methodist Youth Club.  We believe we are unique in offering this to scouts.

We normally take scouts from the start of year 6, but you can start from your 10th birthday.  If you would like to join us please fill in the Expression of Interest form below:
